LITEVORI / SUPPORT
Support
From importing a file to checking your result, find clear answers here.
Start with one file
Import
Choose local files or folders, drag and drop, or explicitly paste. Check inspection results; unsupported files and files needing confirmation do not start automatically.
Preview & choose
Select an image or video and adjust its settings. Pick a writable output folder, then check whether you are processing all ready items or only selected ready items.
Process & check
Wait for processing and verification. Check actual sizes, compare results, and locate outputs. Review the complete picture and sound before sharing.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
Images and videos are analyzed, previewed, compressed, and converted on your Mac without automatic uploads to developer servers or an account. Website visits, support emails, and saving to a synced folder are separate data flows described in the privacy policy.
Are originals changed?
Source files are opened read-only, and results are saved in a new batch folder under your chosen output folder. Clearing history or removing queue items does not delete external originals. You manage exported files yourself.
Which formats are supported?
Supported still-image inputs include compatible JPEG, PNG, WebP, and SDR HEIC, with JPEG, PNG, or WebP output. Video processing accepts compatible MOV / MP4 files that pass inspection and produces H.264 MP4. Support depends on the actual codec, tracks, dimensions, frame rate, and color information. HDR, 10-bit or multi-track video, animated images, and files outside resource limits may be rejected. A filename extension alone does not establish support.
Why does a video need color confirmation?
Some videos lack required color tags. If all other requirements are supported, you may explicitly confirm using SDR / BT.709 for missing information on that file. This can affect colors; it neither proves the original was BT.709 nor converts HDR to SDR. Preview and check the result. Confirmation is not a global setting or preset and must be repeated after reimporting or changing the source.
Will compression always make a file smaller?
No. Video quality settings account for the source and chosen dimensions, but actual size depends on content and encoding. Explicit format, size, or color changes may retain a larger result. Plain compression with no benefit may leave you with the original and no additional output. Quality values are not equivalent across formats, and preview size does not establish full-length size or playback quality.
What if a target size cannot be reached?
A target size is a bounded attempt, not a guarantee for every video. Try a different target or permitted resolution. The app identifies candidates that miss the target, and saving one requires your explicit action. A short preview cannot prove that the full video will meet the target.
When are history and pasted images removed?
Startup recovery removes history records created over 30 days ago. Clearing history does not delete originals, exports, presets, or caches. Previews are normally removed when released, with separate startup cleanup for unused previews over seven days old or a 500 MB budget. Pasted image copies are stored separately and do not have the same expiry rule. See the privacy policy for locations and manual cleanup.
Why is folder access requested?
macOS may request file access for protected folders or external drives you select. The app does not require screen recording, microphone, Photos library, or Full Disk Access permissions. You can choose an accessible location instead. Moved files, revoked permissions, or disconnected drives may require relocation or renewed authorization.
Are exported files anonymized?
There is no such guarantee. Original-size lossless PNG optimization retains metadata, and other outputs are not guaranteed to remove all identifying information. Images, sound, and filenames may themselves contain private information. Review files before sharing.
Does a preview represent the complete output?
Video previews run for up to five seconds using the current plan. They do not guarantee full-length size or final quality. Regenerate after changing settings, the start position, or selected file. Images can be compared side by side, with a slider, or at 100%. Review the complete output after processing.
How are PNG, transparency, and HEIC handled?
Original-size PNG compression uses lossless optimization. Resizing a PNG changes its dimensions and is not an entirely lossless operation. PNG / WebP output can retain transparency; JPEG uses your chosen background color. HEIC compression outputs JPEG, not HEIC. Lossy encoding and format conversion may remove some capture metadata.
Can I pause, cancel, or retry?
Pause following tasks prevents new files from starting; running tasks continue. Canceling keeps completed results. Failed, canceled, or unmet items can be retried from the original. A changed source must be inspected again.
How do I get Litevori? What systems does it support?
Litevori is a local development preview with no public download or App Store availability claim. The minimum requirement is macOS 14 on an Apple silicon Mac. Validation across system versions and additional devices is ongoing.
