A LITTLE GUIDANCE

A few things before you begin.

Are my files uploaded?

Images and videos are analyzed, previewed, compressed, and converted on your Mac without automatic uploads to developer servers or an account. Website visits, support emails, and saving to a synced folder are separate data flows described in the privacy policy.

Are originals changed?

Source files are opened read-only, and results are saved in a new batch folder under your chosen output folder. Clearing history or removing queue items does not delete external originals. You manage exported files yourself.

Will compression always make a file smaller?

No. Video quality settings account for the source and chosen dimensions, but actual size depends on content and encoding. Explicit format, size, or color changes may retain a larger result. Plain compression with no benefit may leave you with the original and no additional output. Quality values are not equivalent across formats, and preview size does not establish full-length size or playback quality.
